Q: When I call in will I get to talk to a real person? i.e.; not a robot phone system.
A: Our telephone is always answered in person, during normal business hours.
Q: If I want to buy something, how long will it take to get me set up?
A: If you use a credit card or want COD then we are immediately set to go. If you wish to open an account, then when you complete the ‘Online Form’ for ‘Credit Application’ and send it to us then it usually takes a few hours to check with Dun and Bradstreet.
Q: What are your regular business hours?
A: Our Normal Business hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. For Emergencies, we have our after hour service which is available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. Call 252-425-1437

Q: Who should I ask for in the Electrical Services Department when I need help?
A: Please ask for Joe Gardner.
Q: When do I need to have a panel built to the UL specification?
A: If the panel is being installed in an area where the local Electrical Inspector requires that the panel be UL approved or if your customer is asking for this certification.
Q: Is the panel any safer if is UL certified?
A: No. We apply the same guidelines for safe work and wiring practices whether the panel is UL or not.
Q: How do I get you to quote me what it would cost to get a panel built by you?
A: We ask you to fill out and send the ‘RFQ Panel Shop’ under the ‘Online Forms’ menu on the Nav Bar. On receiving the quote we will act quickly to complete the quote and return it to you.
Q: Can you build me a panel using my preferred motor control?
A: Yes. We would be glad to quote you the Controls from the Manufacturer you prefer.
Q: If I have a machine that I would like you to quote me on an upgrade for, what would be the best way to go about it?
A: The best plan would be to fill out the form as mentioned above, so that when we contact you, we already have an initial understanding of the work to be done.
Motor Shop Information
Q: What materials do you use in the rewinding of electric motors?
A: The magnet wire is REA Pulse Shield SD, the insulation is all Nomex class H,the lead wire is either Exar or Belden silicone rubber Type H,the varnish is either Von Roll Permafil 74041 or Von Roll Polyester 709, whatever is required by the customer.
Q: Do I get a detailed list showing what you did to repair my motor?
A: A detailed repair quote is sent to you for your review. We will answer any questions you may have regarding the quote.
Q: What is your guarantee when repairing a motor?
A: A repair that includes a full rewind is guaranteed for 1 year. A repair which does not involve a rewind is guaranteed for 90 days.
Q: Do you dynamometer test your dc motors that are repaired?
A: All DC motors are load tested on a dynamometer when the repair is completed and must pass this test before being returned to the customer.
Q: When rewinding a motor do you put back in the motor exactly what came out of the motor?
A: We will verify the winding data with the Motor Manufacturer and we will compare this information with what is in our extensive database. We verify the specifications and then we put the specified windings into the motor. We never just replace the windings based on what is currently in the motor. Q: What greases and oils do you use in your repair shop?
A: Our grease of choice for electric motors is Mobil Polyrex EM, for submersible pumps we use Shell Diala AX, for helical gear reducers we use Shell Omala 150 and 220 and for right angle worm gear reducers we use Shell Omala 320.
